I’ve been asking myself question a lately: How much of my time do I spend truly being, not just doing?
It’s all too easy to get caught in tasks, lists, and external demands. I often hear my mind say, “I have to do this. I have to do that.” And before I know it, the day is gone, and I wonder where the time went. I realise that through all that doing, I sometimes lose touch with the moment itself – the seeing, the feeling, the simple presence of being.
But I choose not to be an un-aware machine finishing tasks. I choose to be present, to learn, and to experience everything I do and am.
I bring myself back to the now – to breathe the air, see the intricate details, feel the drops of rain, smell the grass, being aware. It’s not about taking more time. It’s about making the time I have worth more. Only a few seconds makes a big difference.
I am not just a human doing. I am a human being.
And in that being, I find clarity, peace, and the true richness of life – right here, right now.
