I used to mistake my story for myself. The past I carry, the roles I play, the labels I wear, they all feel so real, so solid. But when I pause, when I breathe, I realise something else is here. Something bigger, something quieter.
The web of the world whispers that identity is not fixed. It is a waveform, a breath that collapses into form and then dissolves again. My story is not who I am – it is a pattern my breath, actions and thoughts has woven through time.
So, how do I return to that breath?
- I listen. Not to the voice of my past, but to the stillness beneath it.
- I feel. Not the weight of my roles, but the pulse of my body.
- I breathe. And in that breath, I remember: I am not the character. I am the field, the observer and the connection.
This remembering doesn’t erase my story. It reclaims it. It allows me to hold my narrative without being defined by it. Because in the breath, I am free to be me.
